I had sunny 2-night stay here! Great-sized and functional rooms were recently renovated with pleasant outside seating. The breakfast was excellent at 9:20am and with fresh food. The location was lovely and absolutely perfect, in a lovely open garden, convenient to go everywhere.

It was just a well-suited match for one night in Clavering with very good value for money. The accommodation was comfortable, just like my previous visit. Make sure to check the hot water situation before your last day.

The cute staff and excellent meals stood out, with the breakfast being particularly nice. The room was comfortable and spacious, exceeding expectations for an hotel above a pub. The slow service during dining and some oversight during the meal left a bit to be desired. There was also a noticeable lack of attention to detail in the food preparation, which could be improved.

We spent our days exploring the medieval village surrounded by endless fields and visiting Home Farm, one of the UK's largest rare breed centres. Just a heads up, the restaurant's service can be quite slow during busy times.
One of the staff members seemed quite stressed, which affected our experience at times.

The room we had was perfect, spacious and beautifully decorated. Plus, the staff were real gems, our waiter made sure we had everything we wanted and checked in on us, that kind of service goes a long way.
It wasn't exactly cheap but definitely worth every penny.

The room was really warm and cozy, felt inviting right away. My daughter loved her pink-themed room, while ours had a nice woodland vibe that was super relaxing. The bathroom was great, especially for someone with mobility issues like me. Nice amenities too! Just a comfy space overall.

The room featured a Queen size bed, a clean modern bathroom with a bath and an enormous walk-in shower, with a level of comfort that feels like a luxury escape. The ambiance of the place adds character, especially with an open fire that makes for a warm retreat during chilly nights.
Keeping the peace can be a challenge. The thin walls between rooms meant I could hear conversations and disturbances easily, which might disturb one's sleep-especially if loud guests take over next door. The room felt cold at first, taking time to warm up due to a timer-controlled heater, and I found the single-glazed windows insufficient against traffic noise from the busy road outside, which woke me earlier than I'd like. Tea-making facilities could have been better designed-having to unplug the TV for the kettle was an inconvenience I didn't expect.
